Player Ratings: Brighton 0-3 Man Utd (Premier League)

Manchester United completed their Premier League campaign against Brighton and Hove Albion with an impressive 3-0 win. 

Michael Carrick took charge of his first game since being appointed permanent head coach in midweek. His coaching staff also signed new two-year deals. 

Bruno Fernandes equalled the Premier League assist record (20) against Nottingham Forest, but made himself an individual record holder after Patrick Dorgu's goal in the first half. The United captain delivered a corner with pace, and Dorgu met it and added even more power - the header was too quick for Bart Verbruggen to stop it. 

Bryan Mbeumo's goal just minutes later stole the show. Amad received the ball inside the penalty area and played it back to Mason Mount on the edge of the box. The former Chelsea midfielder played it first time into Amad's path, and the Ivorian had an easy pass across the six-yard box for Mbeumo. Sensational football. 

After a quick VAR check, United made it 3-0 just after halftime. Amad played a good through ball for Dorgu, but a poor touch gave the defenders the advantage. Fernandes made a run down the right flank, and Dorgu played a pass into his stride. The record breaker hit it first time, and it was simply too good for Verbruggen. 

With the heat, the game fell away after United's third. 

Senne Lammens - 6/10 

Lammens wasn't tested for most of the game, but he was asked to play with his feet for much of the first half. The Belgian wasn't poor, but he will need to improve in this area if it's to be a long-term tactic under Carrick. He was good with his hands, though. 

Noussair Mazraoui - 7/10 

Very solid performance from Mazraoui. This game seemed to return faith that he could be that steady 7/10 player. Perhaps his poorer performances were simply a lack of sharpness. 

Harry Maguire - 7/10 

Did not have much to do, on the whole. Pretty solid, as he has been for much of Carrick's tenure. It will be interesting to see how much he plays next season. 

Lisandro Martínez - 7/10

Same as Maguire. Not much to do. Good enough when needed. 

Luke Shaw - 7/10

38/38 Premier League starts is very impressive, especially when you have an injury record like Luke Shaw. Another good performance today. 

Mason Mount - 7/10 

Mount has failed to impress for much of his United tenure, but today was a different story. The England international looked sharp from the off, with several deft touches to beat his marker, and his contribution to Mbeumo's goal cannot be understated. 

Perhaps his future as a United player is as a central midfielder, rather than further forward. 

Kobbie Mainoo - 8/10 

Kobbie Mainoo. That'll do. He's quality. 

Seriously, though, another very impressive performance. Driving through midfield, long-range passing, hungry without the ball: he did everything he was asked to do. 

Amad - 8/10 

This was Amad's best game for some time. Early on, he beat Kadioglu in the box, and that gave him the confidence to be creative. He was awarded with an assist for Mbeumo's goal, and played a key part in Fernandes' finish at the start of the second half. 

Bruno Fernandes - 9/10 - MOTM

It would be easy to forget about his performance against Brighton, given he broke the Premier League assist record for a single campaign, but Fernandes was simply sensational. 

The United captain was creative throughout, quick to look for the counter, safe when he needed to be, and, all in all, just pretty brilliant. 

Patrick Dorgu - 8/10 

Dorgu hadn't started for United since his wonder goal against Arsenal in Carrick's second game in charge. And he was back with a bang. 

The young Dane netted the first of the game, assisted the third, and was unlucky not to have any more contributions before his substitution on the hour mark. 

Bryan Mbeumo - 7.5/10 

Playing as a centre-forward once again, Mbeumo looked much more confident - likely thanks to his goal last time out. He led the line well.
