The return of Marcus Rashford to Manchester United took people by surprise after a series of loan spells following a rocky feud with former boss Ruben Amorim. The Portuguese manager removed Rashford from the squad as he eventually found a temporary home at Aston Villa, then Barcelona. 

The 28-year-old secured the La Liga title in Barca colours, but his £26 million asking price was deemed too high for the Catalan giants, leaving Rashford to return to Old Trafford to a new face of Michael Carrick at the wheel.

He had an immediate impact upon his return replacing Patrick Dorgu at half time against Hull City and starting against Ipswich Town in United's 5-2 win at Old Trafford. Whilst Bruno Fernandes and Bryan Mbeumo were at the centre of the goals against the Tractor Boys, Rashford's influence on the game was pivotal.

With a clash away at Everton awaiting, Mbeumo spoke out about Rashford's return and his first impressions of the forward.

Speaking with Sky Sports, the Cameroonian opened up on the group dynamic and Rashford's impact on the forward line.

He explained, "Obviously, it's really good to have him back. Nice to meet him for me. I've spent a few weeks with him already now.

"We all know his qualities, his impact for the club and as I see him, he looks very happy to be with us and having fun with us. I think it's really good for him."

After being absent from Old Trafford for over 600 days, Rashford returned against Ipswich rocking the number nine as he looks to find his form in red once again. The forward showed a different array of quality to Dorgu, who is not quite technically clean enough to combine with the likes of Fernandes, Youri Tielemans and Kobbie Mainoo in tight areas.

Carrick's player management has been a commendable trait since his arrival, with the 45-year-old getting star player Mainoo back playing with a smile and signing a new deal.

The squad dynamic seems to be full of positivity heading into the season with the new arrivals settling in and players seemingly getting along well

Mbeumo also stated, "We have a few funny characters. Everyone in the changing room is living really well. We have banter, we have fun, we actually just enjoy being together and playing on the pitch."

Whilst the group morale is crucial, it has to translate onto the pitch, with Everton being the next challenge. United came away with a win on their last trip to the Hill-Dickinson stadium thanks to a Benjamin Sesko winner from a rapid counter attack.

Rashford's return has only improved United's attacking depth so the players would surely feel confident to claim all three points.
