Manchester United are looking for just their third win of the campaign, as they face Como in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.

Cesc Fabregas' side are in their debut season in the competition and have beaten RB Leipzig 4-1 and lost to Feyenoord 3-2 in their first two matches. United, on the other hand, have won 4-0 against Sabah FK and lost 2-0 to Atletico Madrid.

Last time out, Manchester United drew 1-1 with Leeds United at Elland Road, with Lisandro Martínez forced off at half-time and Ayden Heaven absent from the squad. Leny Yoro is suspended for Wednesday – due to a red card against Atletico – meaning Matthijs de Ligt could return to the pitch.

Como could be a crucial result in Michael Carrick's Old Trafford future after a poor start to the campaign.

Man Utd injury news vs Como

Michael Carrick has been dealt quite the blow ahead of the trip to Italy, with several central defenders out injured or suspended.

While a late decision could still be made, it seems United will go into the tie with just Harry Maguire and Matthijs de Ligt as their senior central defenders. Young Dan Armer is also likely to travel with the squad.

Further forward, Kobbie Mainoo was not pictured in training after missing the trip to Leeds United. Marcus Rashford was also absent this morning.

As for the longer-term absentees, Patrick Dorgu and Benjamin Šeško were not seen in training and are not expected to play any part on Wednesday.

For Como, Moise Keane is dealing with a muscle problem, while Assane Diao looks set to be out with a thigh issue.
