Last time Manchester United travelled to Elland Road, Rúben Amorim was dismissed from his position as head coach – not because of the result, though.

The former Sporting CP boss labelled himself as the 'manager' in his post-match press conference, which did not go down well with Jason Wilcox, who has returned to the limelight once again.

In the aftermath of the Atletico Madrid defeat, Lisandro Martínez voiced his true feelings towards United's Director of Football in what seemed to be an attempt to defend Michael Carrick after another poor performance.

Following an internal meeting, Martínez appears to be available for selection. With that in mind, here is Roundtable's predicted Manchester United XI for Sunday afternoon's match against Leeds United.

Senne Lammens will keep his position between the sticks after a quiet game in the Spanish capital last time out, but the back four ahead of him is not as straightforward.

Against Atletico Madrid, Ayden Heaven started at left-back for the first time in his professional career; Yoro and Martínez played central defence, with Diogo Dalot at right-back. There is an argument for keeping the same back four, but Harry Maguire seems destined to return to the starting side.

With that in mind, Michael Carrick may shift Dalot to left-back, with Yoro moving back to right-back, where he impressed Tottenham Hotspur.

Yoro will be unavailable against Como in midweek, so giving him a start on Sunday seems a sensible move.

In midfield, Carlos Baleba and Andrey Santos offered Manchester United a more solid engine room against Atletico, which Carrick will have recognised.

Kobbie Mainoo appears to be back in the fold, but he could start further forward – as the No.10 – allowing Baleba and Santos to continue in the pivot.

It would also give Carrick a chance to rest Bruno Fernandes and Youri Tielemans, both of whom have struggled in recent weeks. While they would both be among Manchester United's most important players when on top form, they seem tired and fatigued, so a rest makes sense.

Matheus Cunha and Amad should return to the starting side, with Bryan Mbeumo keeping his place through the middle. The three proved they could perform together last term, but none have hit form this season.

Joshua Zirkzee may feel he deserves a start after a decent cameo against Atletico Madrid, not to mention a good bit of skill against Spurs in the Premier League, but Mbeumo looks to be Carrick's first-choice centre-forward.

Manchester United predicted XI vs Leeds United: Lammens; Yoro, Maguire, Martínez, Dalot; Baleba, Santos; Amad, Mainoo, Cunha; Mbeumo.
