Illness sidelines Diogo Dalot and Tom Heaton as Manchester United heads to Ireland. Key players return, but who else made the cut for their crucial run-in?

What happens when Patrick Dorgu returns to Man Utd?

Manchester United are travelling to Ireland for a four-day training camp as Michael Carrick prepares for the final seven games of the season.

The United boss is taking his squad to Ireland to regroup following the March international fixtures, with the club having extra time off due to the absence of FA Cup or European action.

United's last seven games include tough ties against Chelsea and Liverpool, while Brentford, Sunderland, and Brighton also present tough opposition ahead of the final six weeks of the season.

The side currently sit third in the Premier League table and are in firm control of Champions League spots, while they also know that they need to keep their concentration during the run-in.

Why Dalot & Heaton miss United training camp

United announced the full training squad that has travelled across the Irish Sea to Dublin, with two notable absentees being Diogo Dalot and Tom Heaton.

Right-back Dalot has started all but one of Carrick's ten games in charge, while third-choice goalkeeper Heaton is known to be a popular figure in the dressing room and part of the squad's senior leadership group.

The club have confirmed that their absences are down to illness rather than injury, quelling worries.

At the same time, young stars Shea Lacey and Chido Obi have remained with the U21s due to their clash against Madrid on Tuesday, while Matthijs de Ligt has not travelled due to injury.

Who has travelled to Ireland?

Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu and Lisandro Martínez, who have missed significant periods of action under Carrick, are both with the squad and are due to continue their recovery ahead of returns to action.

At the same time, a number of United's key international players, such as Bruno Fernandes, Senne Lammens, and Casemiro, have been included following their returns.

Despite pulling out of international duty with their respective nations, both Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Šeško have travelled with the squad, providing a welcome boost.

Below is the full list of players who have travelled to Ireland.

Goalkeepers: Altay Bayindir, Senne Lammens, Dermot Mee, Fred Heath.
