As Rasmus Højlund departs and academy stars rise, Old Trafford prepares for a kit reshuffle featuring iconic upgrades for Benjamin Šeško, Marcus Rashford, and Senne Lammens.

Every summer, who comes and goes from Manchester United is a global topic. So far this summer, the club have made four first-team additions for Michael Carrick.

In midfield, Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans were signed from Chelsea and Aston Villa, respectively, while the club also signed Welsh international Karl Darlow as a free agent from Leeds United as a back-up goalkeeper to Senne Lammens.

As for exits, Napoli activated their £38 million fee to sign Rasmus Højlund permanently at the beginning of the summer, while Jadon Sancho, Casemiro, and Tyrell Malacia departed as free agents.

Since then, goalkeepers André Onana and Altay Bayındır have also left on loan to Tranzonspor and Celta Vigo, while a few Academy stars have seen either loan or permanent moves.

But, with transfer activity also comes the excitement of shirt numbers. Santos is wearing No. 17, Tielemans has been given No. 18, and Darlow has No. 12. However, those within United's squad are also likely to be handed new numbers.

Benjamin Šeško

One player who could well be handed a new number is Benjamin Šeško. Joining late last summer, the Slovenian international took the same No. 30 he had at RB Leipzig, with Højlund occupying the No. 9 at the time.

However, with Højlund having left the club permanently, he may well take the central striker shirt this season. Reports from March have claimed that United offered him the number last summer, but he rejected it out of respect for Højlund.

Senne Lammens

A second player signed last summer who is almost certain to change their number is goalkeeper Senne Lammens.

Signed on deadline day last summer, the Belgian goalkeeper took No. 31 for his debut campaign, with second-choice Bayındır taking the No. 1 shirt.

However, with the Turkish international now on loan in Italy and Lammens the clear first choice, it is logical that he will be upgraded to inherit the famed No. 1 shirt at Old Trafford.

Marcus Rashford

Marcus Rashford's situation is a little more complicated. The winger has spent the last 18 months on loan at Aston Villa and Barcelona, and last summer, Matheus Cunha took his No. 10.

With the 28-year-old now looking set to return to Carrick's squad, he will have to pick a new number. The No 14, what he wore at Barcelona, is available, and given his close friend Jesse Lingard once had the number, it makes sense.

Shea Lacey

Having made his debut under Carrick last season, 19-year-old Academy star Shea Lacey has been seriously impressive across pre-season so far.

With the No. 61 on his back, it only feels right that there should be an upgrade, as is normal once Academy stars become first-team regulars.

There are a few numbers in the 20s available, such as 20, 21, 24, 27, 28, and 29.

Amad or Mbeumo

Finally, an unexpected but entirely possible change of number could be one of Amad or Bryan Mbeumo.

Amad currently wears the No. 16 shirt, while Mbeumo wears the No. 19. However, with Joshua Zirkzee increasingly linked with a move to Serie A giants Juventus, if he departs soon, his No. 11 shirt could become available.

While it's not clear who may take the No. 11 kit, it could well be one of the two wingers.
