Manchester United's frontline was completely transformed last summer, bringing in Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Šeško to address a distinct lack of goals in the 2024/25 Premier League campaign.  

The trio all reached double figures for goals in their maiden campaign for their new side, helping the club achieve an unlikely third-placed finish, thus qualifying for the Champions League.

The Reds' transfer priorities is, understandably, focused on the midfield after parting ways with Casemiro and the uncertain future of Manuel Ugarte. United have already completed the signing of Atalanta's Ederson, and are set to target two more midfielders.

With the success of the forward line, it perhaps comes as a bit of a shock that the left wing is a position that new boss Michael Carrick identified as needing depth, and are reportedly interested in signing a want-away PSG star.

After Jadon Sancho, Alejandro Garnacho and Marcus Rashford all left the club last summer, United have been lacking depth when it comes to wingers, despite Patrick Chinazaekpere Dorgu performing well when playing in a more advanced role.

While it remains to be seen whether the Denmark international will be more of a left winger or left back next season, Manchester United are reportedly closely monitoring the situation of PSG's Bradley Barcola, who, after growing frustrated with his lack of playing time under Luis Enrique, is set to request a transfer away from Paris this summer.

As reported by TEAMtalk, the 23-year-old believes he has slipped down the attacking pecking order at the club, with the likes of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Desire Doue and Ousmane Dembele viewed as Enrique's preferred option.

Having been very disappointed that he didn't start either the semi-finals or the final of PSG's second successive Champions League-winning campaign, the player, who has two years left on his contract, is convinced he will struggle to get the playing time that his performances and talent deserve.

It comes as no surprise that this has attracted the interest from a host of European giants, with Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Barcelona and Real Madrid just a few of the clubs linked with Barcola.

As things stand, Marcus Rashford will return to Manchester United this summer after Barcelona chose not to pay the £26 million buy option in the Englishman's loan contract despite impressing in Spain.

Despite Rashford expressing great interest to stay at Barcelona next season, the shock signing of Anthony Gordon for £70 million put a dampener on that, and his future is now up in the air.

During his time at Manchester United, rumours linking Rashford to PSG seemed to come round every summer, but nothing ever came to pass.

As United look to offload Rashford's wages, could the 28-year-old be used as a makeweight in any potential deal and benefit both Manchester United and Rashford.
