Lewis Hall is reportedly, by Football365, getting frustrated with his current situation at Newcastle United, with him having to play out of position at right-back and only getting 45 minutes in quite a few Premier League games, and they're reporting that's one of the reasons he was excluded from Thomas Tuchel's 26-man England squad.
Fabrizio Romano said on his YouTube channel that "Manchester United kept the contacts alive and active with those close to Lewis Hall.
“Manchester United already made contact a few weeks ago. Manchester United have genuine interest in the player. They really like Lewis Hall, so he’s one of the targets."
It has been reported by TeamTALK that it would cost about the £60 million mark to secure his services, a price that United seem willing to pay.
The report also cites that Hall wants to ‘play for a Champions League club', another reason behind his desire to leave the Magpies for United.
Should United sign Hall?
United do need a left-back this season, that's without a doubt, but the real question comes in who?
Lewis Hall is probably the best option for the Red Devils, with him coming off the back of two good seasons from a very competitive Newcastle side, with him having a year of Champions League experience as well.
He also suits the Carrick style of play, with him wanting to try and bomb forward, and his link-up with left-winger Matheus Cunha would be very exciting to watch.
