Callum Hudson-Odoi has laid out his lofty ambitions under "exciting" new head coach Oliver Glasner.

Callum Hudson-Odoi has offered intriguing insight into the mood in the Nottingham Forest camp since the arrival of Oliver Glasner as head coach.

Glasner was appointed at the start of July, but due to injury, Hudson-Odoi made only his first appearance of pre-season on Saturday.

Hudson-Odoi underwent surgery after suffering a severe right quadriceps muscle injury during Forest's Europa League quarterfinal second-leg win over FC Porto back in April.

Since then, there has been another change in the dugout, and the 25-year-old shed some more light on the mood in the dressing room following Glasner's arrival.

"We've found it exciting too," he revealed. "Obviously, it's a new chapter for us, a new beginning for the whole team and I think, at the end of the day, the manager's come in and we're all looking forward to it.

"He's brought ideas, and we want to make sure we're implementing them into the games and bringing his ideas into real life and onto the pitch."

The Austrian head coach has insisted that he and his squad will need time and patience to get to where they want to be, but Hudson-Odoi did not shy away from the ambition of the team.

He made it clear that Nottingham Forest want to get back to winning trophies, and insisted that they believe this is possible under Glasner.

"You can see from some parts of play how we're doing it, and it's really good," he insisted. "So, yeah, we all have faith in him, and we all want the best for him and for us, for the team to work to try to win games and win trophies.

"We're really excited, and hopefully there'll be many good things to come from it."

Forest have two more friendlies this week, against Bayer Leverkusen and Stade Brestois, before they open their Premier League campaign against Leeds United on Saturday, 22 August at the City Ground.
