Player ratings after an excellent performance from Nottingham Forest in a 2-2 draw with Liverpool.

Nottingham Forest were twice pegged back as they drew 2-2 away to Liverpool to record their first Premier League point under Oliver Glasner.

Dan Ndoye put Forest ahead in the first half, but a ball across the face of goal let Alexander Isak level things up on the hour-mark.

Alisson took Neco Williams out in the box 10 minutes later, and Morgan Gibbs-White made no mistake with the spot kick.

It was not to be, though, as an excellent ball over the defence unlocked Victor Munoz, who equalised again for Liverpool in the 82nd minute, with no late drama to separate the sides.

Though disappointing to be pegged back so late on, it was an excellent point for Forest, and an exceptional performance across the board from Forest.

Nottingham Forest player ratings

Matz Sels (GK) - 6/10: Made a crucial save in the first half to deny a close-range Florian Wirtz header. Not much he could have done for either goal.

Jair Cunha - 7/10: Another strong showing for the youngster, while Ousmane Diomande is not fit enough to start. When he is ready to start, the Ivorian will have a battle on his hands to earn the starting spot.

Nikola Milenkovic - 6/10: Gave away another pretty needless foul on the edge of the box, but it was not as costly as against Leeds. An okay showing.

Murillo - 6/10: Did not stand out, but equally did not have much to do. Some surges forward, which we have become accustomed to.

Ola Aina - 7/10: Another really bright showing from Aina, who is gradually making me eat my words. Strong at both ends of the pitch.

James McAtee - 8/10: A man-of-the-match performance from McAtee, and he left no wonder as to why he's starting. Really strong work rate and was central to most things.

Xaver Schlager - 7/10: Excellent for the most part. Some nervy moments, but a lot to like about his game. Will only improve as he becomes more settled, but lots to like so far.

Neco Williams - 8/10: An immense performance at both ends. Saved a goal with a huge tackle to deny Cody Gakpo in the box, and won the penalty for Forest's second with intelligent play.

Dan Ndoye - 8/10: One of his best performances in a Forest shirt. A regular threat and he took his goal excellently. A real positive after receiving plenty of criticism of late.

Morgan Gibbs-White - 7/10: A regular threat, assisted Ndoye's opener with a simple but good pass, and took his penalty excellently.

Igor Jesus - 7/10: A really pleasing performance. Played a crucial role in the build-up to Ndoye's role, and continued to shine after being move out wide in the second half. Really enjoys the deeper role.

Substitutes

Liam Delap (66' Dan Ndoye) - 7/10: An immediate impact with an intelligent quick throw-in to help Williams win the penalty. A bright spark after coming on, and signs that he will be a real asset, especially once he gains match fitness.

Luca Netz (86' Ola Aina) - 6/10: Did not have enough time to leave a real mark on the game.

Nicolas Dominguez (X' James McAtee) - 6/10: N/A

Callum Hudson-Odoi (X' Igor Jesus) - 6/10: N/A
