Follow all of the latest updates from the City Ground as Nottingham Forest return to Premier League action against Leeds United.

The excitement on the walk to the City Ground was palpable, both for the return of competitive football, but also the new era that is about to get officially underway at Nottingham Forest.

Oliver Glasner's arrival as head coach has offered a real sense of fresh air and renewed optimism after the domestic struggles of last season.

Forest will be keen to keep those high spirits rolling at the City Ground on Saturday and kick Glasner's reign off with a win.

Live updates (newest at the top)

Full-time: Nottingham Forest 0-1 Leeds United

Poor. Not as bad as some would have you believe, but there's no sugarcoating it. Too many mistakes, not enough end product. Clearly a lot of work to do. But we, and Glasner, already knew that.

Onto the next one... at home to Leeds.

90' - Kalimuendo coming on (0-1)

A final roll of the nice as Arnaut Kalimuendo is coming on.

88' - Leeds take the lead from a free-kick (0-1)

A good free-kick from Anton Stach has the beating of Sels at his near post. A mountain for Forest to climb late on.

73' - Double Forest change (0-0)

Luca Netz and Xaver Schlager are on for Ola Aina and James McAtee respectively.

70' - Sublime Sels save (0-0)

A remarkable fingertip save from Matz Sels denied Tarik Muharemovic from close range.

Minutes after coming on, Chris Wood was played through by a sublime Murillo pass, but he dragged the effort wide.

61' - Chris Wood coming on (0-0)

Chris Wood is ready to come on... He replaces Dan Ndoye.

54' - Another let-off (0-0)

Leeds work the ball to Harry Wilson on the box but he makes a mess of the chance... another warning.

46' - Back underway (0-0)

Forest get the second half underway.

Halftime: Nottingham Forest 0-0 Leeds United

Forest got better as the half went on, but they rode plenty of nervy moments. Momentum on Forest’s side, but work to do in the second half.

There were a few too many unforced errors, especially in midfield, but they thankfully didn’t prove costly.

45' - Two minutes added on (0-0)

Just the two minutes added on at the end of the first half...

41' - Forest hit the post (0-0)

A flurry of chances in the box following a corner and Forest get denied by the post from a Milenkovic header. Glasner's side ending the half very well.

33' - Forest respond well (0-0)

Well Forest have responded to the warning well. Offering a lot more going forward, but still waiting for the final action.

25' - Leeds goal disallowed (0-0)

Harry Wilson had the ball in the net on his Leeds debut, but Forest were offered a reprieve by the assistant's flag. A real wake-up call for Forest.

18' - Aina booked (0-0)

Ola Aina gets a booking for a sliding challenge. Justin's reaction made it look far worse than it was...

14' - Forest under pressure (0-0)

Forest have been under a bit of pressure for some time now, but Ledds thankfully aren't doing too much with their possession the Forest half. Some nervy moments but no breakthrough yet!

15:00 - Underway (0-0)

The visitors get us underway at the City Ground for the first time this season!

14:05 - [Delayed] team news, no Diomande

Well after a nightmare on the M11 and just as much trouble getting parked, I'm in position at the City Ground and can bring you some admittedly delayed team news...

It's too soon for Ousmane Diomande, but the Ivorian defender is on the benhc, and it's James McAtee alongside Ibrahim Sangare in midfield.

Forest XI: Matz Sels; Jair Cunha, Nikola Milenkovic, Murillo; Ola Aina, James McAtee, Ibrahim Sangare, Neco Williams; Dan Ndoye, Morgan Gibbs-White; Igor Jesus.

Leeds XI: James Trafford; Jaka Bijol, Joe Rodon, Tarik Muharemovic; Jayden Bogle, Anton Stach, Ethan Ampadu, James Justin; Harry Wilson, Brenden Aaronson; Dominic Calvert-Lewin
