Dayann Methalie impresses for France U21s

Sunderland full-back Dayann Methalie played the full 90 minutes for France U21s and helped his nation to a clean sheet in their 2-0 win over Estonia U21s amid the international break.

Methalie endured a shaky Premier League debut for the Black Cats at Manchester City before the break, but showed clear promise after recovering from his early error to make several key defensive contributions.

Over the course of the campaign, and in the seasons ahead, French youth international Methalie will have a major role to play at Sunderland, and hopefully these national outings will bring experience and confidence for the 20-year-old full-back.
