Tottenham Hotspur's academy has just seen Luca Williams-Barnett announce himself to the Premier League, but Ju'nai Byfield is another exciting youngster who is waiting for his chance under Roberto De Zerbi.
Jun'ai Byfield is the latest Tottenham Hotspur academy player to join Roberto De Zerbi's squad out training ahead of the game against Leeds United.
The talented central defender is another of Spurs' top academy talents, and there is a huge hope for his future at the North London club.
The teenager missed pre-season over the summer with an injury, but he will be hoping for plenty of opportunities over the course of the season.
The Lilywhites' academy has had a great week, with Harry Kane winning the Ballon d'Or and Luca Williams-Barnett making his Premier League debut.
Williams-Barnett will now be hopeful of being joined by one of his closest friends in football in the first team at some stage.
Jun'ai Byfield trains with Tottenham's first team ahead of Leeds match
Jun'ai Byfield has been spotted with Tottenham Hotspur's first team in training ahead of the game against Leeds on Saturday, via Tottenham's YouTube channel.
The 17-year-old has made just three appearances for the club, with two of those matches being in last season's Champions League group stage.
The England youth international unfortunately missed pre-season with De Zerbi's squad over the summer due to injury.
The defender only returned to action last month in the EFL Trophy, having been sidelined since May.
Byfield has now played 131 minutes for the Under-21s as he continues to build back up his fitness.
There will be hope that at some stage this season, the talented defender will be able to feature for the first team.
He is undoubtedly one of the academy's biggest prospects and someone who could match Williams-Barnett for talent.
Byfield should be getting some first-team minutes at some stage this season, especially with Tottenham having just one right-back.
After selling Djed Spence, Pedro Porro is Spurs' only recognised right-back, with Archie Gray having to cover him.
Byfield featured there in the Champions League under Thomas Frank last season and could be a good option.
Roberto De Zerbi needs to prioritise Tottenham's academy stars
The Italian manager must look to prioritise minutes for the likes of Williams-Barnett and Byfield this season.
He will have seen the lift it gave the crowd when Williams-Barnett made his Premier League debut at the weekend.
Spurs need more academy players in their squad and form a core group of players who understand the club, just like Mauricio Pochettino did back in 2014.
