The Israeli winger swaps North London for the London Stadium in a £7 million deal, seeking to spearhead the Hammers’ immediate return to the Premier League.

Manor Solomon has officially left Tottenham Hotspur, completing a permanent move across London to join Championship side West Ham United.

Both clubs confirmed the transfer on Monday evening following a week of negotiations. The Israel international leaves North London, three years after he joined the club on a free transfer from Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk.

The clubs did not reveal the transfer fee in their official statements. However, we at Last Word On Spurs RoundTable understand the deal is worth £5 million up front, with another £2 million possible in add-ons and a 10% sell-on clause. Solomon, 27, has signed a three-year contract with West Ham, with an option to extend his stay until 2030.

This ends a Tottenham career that started with promise but was held back by injuries and limited chances to play. Solomon joined Spurs in the summer of 2023 and made a good first impression. He set up two goals for Son Heung-min in a 5-2 win over Burnley, but a serious knee injury soon after ended his first season.

Solomon leaves Tottenham having played just six competitive matches, with five of those in the Premier League.

Solomon enjoyed a hugely productive loan with Leeds United during the 2024/25 campaign. He played a major role as the Yorkshire side won promotion from the Championship and lifted the title, recording ten league goals and double figures for assists. His experience in the Championship could be especially useful for West Ham now.

West Ham aim to return immediately to the Premier League after relegation. Solomon provides manager Nuno Espírito Santo with a proven attacking option on the wing, replacing Cynsenscio Summerville, who left earlier in the window.

Last season, Solomon was loaned to Villarreal in La Liga, then recalled in January and sent to Fiorentina for the remainder of the season.

Although Solomon featured regularly for Roberto De Zerbi during Tottenham’s pre-season, it quickly became clear he would depart.

Before the transfer, Solomon’s agent, Shlomi Ben Ezra, stated that the 27-year-old sought regular playing time and a key role, describing West Ham as a “huge club.”

West Ham released Solomon’s first interview as a Hammers player after confirming the transfer, marking a new chapter at the London Stadium.

Tottenham Head Coach De Zerbi continues to reshape his squad for the new season, with Solomon joining Luka Vušković Yves Bissouma, Tynan Thompson, Will Lankshear, Radu Dragusin and Alejo Veliz as permanent exits
