Tottenham Hotspur’s owners have reportedly invested another £ 120 million in the club as the Lewis family continues to back its ambitious rebuild.

Tottenham Hotspur’s owners have reportedly invested another £120million into the club as the Lewis family continues to provide financial backing for its ambitious overhaul.

The most recent injection of funds from The Lewis Family has been used as working capital and has therefore given Tottenham more financial flexibility in its business operations.

Even though the money has not been set aside specifically for a new transfer budget, it may still allow the club to increase its ability to invest in the player squad.

Fans will no doubt be looking for a new number 9 as Roberto De Zerbi's rebuild continues.

The reported amount that the Lewis family has invested in Tottenham over the last year now totals £320 million. It was first announced in October 2025 that £100 million would be injected as capital, and then another £100 million was given in June 2026. The most recent contribution of £120 million is the third major injection made during that time.

Vivienne Lewis and her son-in-law Nick Beucher have gradually become more prominent in the owners' dealings with Tottenham. When last season came to an end, the family committed themselves to making the necessary investment and to providing the stability needed for the club to move forward, stressing that "actions will speak louder than words".

Their most recent financial pledge further shows their intent to stay in control of Spurs: the owners have reportedly turned down three offers from groups that wanted to buy the club while also holding firm that Tottenham are not for sale.

The investment also gradually increases the Lewis family's ownership interest in Tottenham, since it was reported that former executive chairman Daniel Levy was invited to contribute his share of the earlier £100 million injection to avoid his stake being diluted, but he chose not to.

Questions surrounding Levy’s remaining stake have continued after Eight Sports Capital Limited claimed to possess a legally binding sale and purchase agreement covering a significant portion of his interest in ENIC. However, Tottenham remain under the control of the Lewis family, who are continuing to fund the club’s transformation.

In the summer transfer period, Spurs were very active and have brought in 10 players as part of Roberto De Zerbi's rebuild of the squad. The total cost of the transfers, including any future add-ons, is thought to be nearly £400 million.

Tottenham also approved a number of permanent and temporary player departures, and the money obtained from these transfers or which might be recovered from them could in the end exceed half of the club's summer spending.

Working capital could support the club's day-to-day activities rather than being kept solely for transfers. However, the more cash made available to Tottenham, the greater its ability to run the club, develop its facilities, and carry out further recruitment if needed.

The task facing the club's leadership is now to ensure this financial support results in a more competitive team and the ongoing sporting success their supporters have been asking for.
