Tottenham Player Ratings Vs Crystal Palace: Van Hecke Leads The Way
Tottenham make it three wins in a row with a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace, with Archie Gray and Jan Paul van Hecke providing the goals after Jean-Philippe Mateta’s early dismissal.
Here are my player ratings.
Antonín Kinský - 7/10
A relatively quiet evening. Palace’s limited attacking threat meant his work was limited, but another clean sheet maintains the positive momentum.
Archie Gray - 8/10
Excellent first-half performance capped off with the opening goal. Replaced by Pedro Porro at the interval, due to a booking.
Jan Paul van Hecke - 9/10 - Player of the Match
Tottenham’s standout performer. Combined a clean sheet with the second goal. Outstanding playing out from the back, with a wide range of passing. An influential contribution at both ends.
Micky van de Ven - 8/10
Completed the match and helped Tottenham limit Palace’s attacking opportunities alongside Van Hecke. Never looked like he'd be beaten.
Andrew Robertson - 8/10
A strong performance before making way for Destiny Udogie.
Sandro Tonali - 8.5/10
Controlled the tempo of the game; his recoveries when Tottenham lost possession were outstanding. He's really starting to justify his big price tag.
Mateus Fernandes - 8/10
Another encouraging midfield display. Ball carrying and passing range once again shone against a struggling Palace midfield.
Mohammed Kudus - 7/10
Provided the corner for Gray’s opener. Excellent on the ball and dropping a shoulder to beat his man, but struggled with the final touches.
Omar Marmoush - 6.5/10
Struggled to impact the game in the number 10 role; looked brighter as the central forward, making several good runs that created space in and behind.
Mathys Tel - 6/10
Similar to Mohammed Kudus, the final touches are coming, but may not quite be there yet.
Dominic Solanke - 5.5/10
He couldn't add his name to the scoresheet before Conor Gallagher replaced him.
Pedro Porro - 7/10
Replaced Gray at half-time and looked excellent in possession and in the final third; could of and maybe should have gotten himself on the score sheet.
Conor Gallagher - 6/10
Introduced for Solanke, but dropped into the number 10 role, made several good run in behind thanks to Marmoush movement.
Destiny Udogie — 6/10
A short appearance after replacing Robertson, with Tottenham already two goals ahead.
Dejan Kulusevski — 6/10
Another opportunity to accumulate minutes, coming on for Marmoush late in the game.
Luca Williams-Barnett — N/A
A memorable Premier League debut. His late cameo included creating a chance for Kudus, offering an immediate glimpse of his attacking promise.
Starting XI: Kinsky, Robertson, van Hecke, Tel, Gray, Tonali, M. Fernandes, Solanke, Kudus, Marmoush, van de Ven (c).
Substitutes: Dubravka, Senesi, Gallagher, Maddison, Udogie, Kulusevski, Pedro Porro, Davies, Williams-Barnett.
