Celtic fans have reacted to the Rangers loss' at the hands of Hearts to end their title hopes.

Celtic kept their end of the bargain at the weekend, winning against Hibernian to put the pressure on their title rivals. One responded to it, another did not. And now, it might be a two-horse race for the Premiership. And it is not a couple of Glasgow teams for a change.

It would be safe to say that the Rangers' title hopes are as good as over after losing to Hearts.

Danny Rohl's side had actually started the better of the two teams and taken the lead. But then, they conceded twice and did not have an answer.

Most Celtic fans would have been hoping for a draw. That would have been the perfect result for the Hoops.

Now, they will have to beat Hearts and still hope that other results go their way as well to win the title race, as the Edinburgh side have a much better goal difference.

As for the Rangers, this has turned out to be another trophyless season. The last thing they would have expected after spending £40 million on the squad, and especially after how bad Celtic have been all season.

Yet, it is the Hoops whose hopes of a double are still alive. As for the Rangers, all they can do now is try and prevent Celtic from winning.

As one Celtic fan wrote on X: "Another season without a trophy for The new Rangers. Glorious."

Yesterday, many had tried to run with the narrative that Hibernian had not given their best against Celtic in order to try and prevent city rivals, Hearts, from winning the title. Well, some Hoops fans were always sure to turn that on its head after this result. As one wrote: "Rangers lay down to Hearts... that's how this works, right?"

A third Celtic fan wrote: "Thank you boys!! Am sure we will see the real Rangers next season again."

Truth be told, this result probably makes it more difficult for Celtic to come out on top in this title race. Their narrow wins have meant that Hearts have a better goal difference than them and with just three more league games left to go, there is not much time to overcome that.

If this game had ended in a draw, it would have been brilliant for Celtic. Hearts would just hold a one-point advantage over them, which would have been overturned with a win against them. On the other hand, the Rangers' title hopes would have been as good as over anyway.

At this point in the season, all Celtic can do is try and win the rest of their games and then hope for the best. They cannot afford to overlook the challenges that still lay ahead, including a Glasgow Derby, a fixture they have not won inside 90 minutes in their last nine tries.
