Midfield veteran Ryan Jack returns to Rangers, utilizing world-class physios and performance staff to maintain peak fitness while navigating the search for his next professional challenge.
The central midfielder, who played 131 league games for the Teddy Bears from 2017-2024, has been a free agent ever since his last contract with Turkish club Esenler Erokspor terminated in 2026. The 34-year-old has now revealed that he is using the facilities of his former club to keep himself in shape ahead of his new challenge at his next club.
On the Go Radio Football Show, Jack said, “It is pretty much out of the way [Injury]. It is just this time of season when you are out of contract, you just want to keep fit.
“I am just into the Rangers training ground working away with the physio and performance staff and also doing some gym work, so yeah feeling good.”
Jack revealed that the physio and the performance staff at Rangers are helping Jack to achieve his best version. The report by Glasgow Times said, “...he has explained he is working on his fitness ahead of finding a new club, with a return to the Rangers Training Centre to be assisted by physios and performance staff.”
A graduate of the Aberdeen academy, Jack made his debut for the first team of the club in 2010, and left in 2017 after appearing in 199 official league fixtures for the club. In the seven years that the player stayed with the Dandies, Jack won the 2013-14 Scottish League Cup.
In 2017, Jack moved to Rangers, where he was part of the squads that won the 2020-21 Scottish Premiership and the 2021-22 Scottish Cup. He was also part of the squad that finished as runners-up in the 2021-22 UEFA Europa League competition.
The midfielder joined Esenler Erokspor in 2024, and left the club after two seasons upon the termination of his contract.
In addition to his club career, Jack has also made 20 official appearances for the senior squad of the Scotland National Football Team, after playing for the U-16, U-17, U-19, and U-21 squads of the team.
It remains to be seen which club becomes the next destination of Ryan Jack. It is important that Jack finds a club for himself in the next days if he wants to play regular football.
