Former Rangers hero Andy Halliday also looked impressed with how the Teddy Bears have performed so far this season and also heaped praise on the Gers' summer acquisition.

Rangers have already started reaping the rewards of their proactive summer transfer window, adding 14 new players to their squad.

The Gers are now undefeated in nine games since their second-leg defeat to Jablonec in the Conference League qualifiers, winning eight of them.

Manager Derek McInnes has seemingly found the perfect system for his team, as the Light Blues look to end their trophy drought this season.

McInnes' men struggled to find their footing in the early weeks of the campaign, but they seem to have settled in brilliantly and are already performing at the highest level.

Alongside the former Hearts manager, the Gers' summer signings also deserve credit for how quickly they have adapted to the new environment at Ibrox.

The Gers' excellent run in domestic competitions has certainly got their fans to believe in their side once again after a poor campaign last time around.

Former Rangers hero Andy Halliday also looked impressed with how the Teddy Bears have performed so far this season and also heaped praise on the Gers' summer acquisition, James Penrice, saying (h/t Glasgow Times), "A big thing for that has actually been the addition of Penrice in the middle of the pitch. They were giving up an overload against every team for the first games of the season.

"But now they're more front-foot, aggressive and turning the ball over in really good areas. Within three to four seconds, they're now creating chances from it."

Penrice's performances this season have already earned him high praise, quickly turning him into a fan favourite reminiscent of Halliday during his playing days at Ibrox.

The 27-year-old has started in every single game for the Gers so far this season since his inclusion from AEK Athens this summer.

Rangers brought in Penrice on a season-long loan deal from the Greek side, with an option to buy at the end of this season following the departure of Jayden Meghoma.

The Scottish international wasted no time and has settled in quite brilliantly in Glasgow, providing McInnes's side with the desired quality on the left-hand side of the pitch.

Penrice has been excellent at winning the ball back and rapidly transitioning from defense to attack with his pacy movements.

The full-back has already provided two assists and scored a goal for the Gers so far this season and will look to increase his tally during the upcoming fixtures.

Without a shadow of doubt, Penrice's inclusion in the squad has been one of the best decisions that the Gers made this summer, and hopefully, they will look to sign him on a permanent deal at the end of the ongoing campaign.
