Olympiacos F.C. begins the new 2026-27 Super League Greece season at Georgios Karaiskakis, facing Atromitos on opening matchday.

This Saturday, Aug. 22, league action begins for the Red and Whites in this new season, and it starts in the best possible way: a home match with the warmth and support of the local fans.

It also happens that this match will take place just after the signing of Armando 'La Hormiga' Gonzalez, with the Mexican striker arriving from Chivas for around $13 million, including bonuses.

Obviously, Gonzalez, 23, will not be part of the squad for this match, as he only landed in Greece on Friday, but we will surely see him in the stands, watching his new team play its first official league match of the season.
