Olympiacos vs. NEC Champions League qualifier first leg: How to watch live on TV and streaming. Preview and Team News.

Olympiacos boss Jose Luis Mendilibar is set for his first test of the new season as they face NEC Nijmegen in the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round first leg.

Olympiacos approach the match on the back of a three-game losing run in the pre-season friendlies.

Pre-season friendlies are never a standard to judge the team's form in official matches, but Mendilibar has not been up to his usual self in managing the last few games. After initially beginning their campaign with two wins over Raków Częstochowa and Fortuna Sittard, and a draw with OH Leuven, the Red and Whites suffered defeats to Ajax, Antwerp and AZ Alkmaar.

Meanwhile, as for NEC Nijmegen, they come into the Champions League qualifier having lost each of their previous two pre-season friendlies. The Dutch outfit won just one of their six off-season clashes, losing against MSV Duisburg, Anderlecht, SV Elversberg and Sevilla. They drew one against De Treffers, and their only victory came thanks to a 7-0 thrashing of Al-Fayha.

Olympiacos vs. NEC Nijmegen: What to Know Before the Match

Yusuf Yazici remains the only issue for Olympiacos in the long-term injury list. Ayoub El Kaabi and Mehdi Taremi returned to the squad following  their respective World Cup outings with Morocco and Iran respectively.

As per a previous report on Roundtable, Mendilibar is expected to experiment with his team for the match. Goalkeeper Balša Popović is set to feature in between the sticks with new signing Stefan Ortega deemed unfit.

Left-back Francisco Ortega has been put out of the squad list for the match as he nears a transfer to River Plate.

Santiago Hezze and Lorenzo Scipioni are set to be benched as they continue their respective recoveries. Chiquinho might play an influential role from the start.

NEC are set to be without the services of Vito van Crooij, Koki Ogawa, Perr Schuurs, Willum Thor Willumsson, Adam Tahaui and Yassin Moslih for the game.

Tjaronn Chery and Bryan Linssen are set to lead the attack.
