Riding a four-match winning streak, Olympiacos hunts the Greek Super League summit in Agrinio. See how to catch the Red and Whites as they face struggling Panetolikos.

After sealing a victory over Marseille in Matchday 2 of the UEFA Europa League, Super League Greece action returns for Olympiacos as they travel to Agrinio to face Panetolikos.

Two wins out of the two games played in the Europa League this season helped Olympiacos secure 10th place in the league phase standings for now. They are level on points with the league leaders Juventus, but since they won both of their games by a goal margin, their goal difference puts them at the bottom of the six-point pile. The Red and Whites are closely followed by 11th-placed Sparta Praha, who are on four points.

The European victory extended Olympiacos' winning run to four consecutive matches across all competitions, starting with the 2-1 triumph over Jagiellonia Bialystok in the Europa League opener. The 1-0 defeat to OFI Crete put a dent in the Piraeus club's momentum, but head coach Imanol Alguacil steadied the ship with narrow victories. Undoubtedly, a massive boost in morale came for the club when they beat eternal rivals Panathinaikos just before the Marseille clash.

Three points from the game against Panathinaikos made Olympiacos overtake PAOK in the league standings, putting them just two points away from the leaders. They trail second-placed AEK Athens by a point.

While AEK's fixture against Atromitos was postponed, Panathinaikos face Asteras Tripolis 30 minutes after the kickoff time of Panetolikos-Olympiacos. Therefore, Alguacil's men could end up as the provisional league leaders tomorrow night if results go their way both in their match and elsewhere.

Thrylos head into the Europa League action again with a fixture versus Sparta Praha on Thursday night (22 October 2026) following this clash against Panetolikos. A win from the match would certainly relieve quite a lot of pressure from the group, which has had a slow start to the new season.

Meanwhile, Panetolikos will hope to seal at least a point from the match. Their last victory came over Levadiakos in early September, and since then, they have endured four losses. Currently, Panetolikos sit at 8th place with nine points.
