Stade Rennais vs. Olympiacos: UEFA Europa League Preview
Nov 4, 2026 4:55 AM

Olympiacos risk their nine-game winning streak against a resilient Stade Rennes side unbeaten at home, as both clubs navigate key injuries to cement their standing in the Europa League.

Olympiacos will aim to stretch their European winning run to a fourth straight victory this season when they face Stade Rennais at Roazhon Park.

Olympiacos come into this match on the back of a thrilling 3-2 win over Kifisia in the Super League Greece. They started the game on the front foot and consolidated in the second half when strikes from Joel Roca and Marius Mouandilmadji doubled Olympiacos' lead. However, the hosts staged a fightback as Jordi Mboula and Gerson Sousa levelled the score. It took Gelson Martins' added-time goal for the Red and Whites to grab maximum points from the match to keep the pressure at the top of the table.

Since losing to OFI Crete in mid-September, Olympiacos have gone on a nine-game victory streak across all competitions, and this included three narrow triumphs in the UEFA Europa League over Jagiellonia Bialystok, Marseille and Sparta Praha. With nine points from the three matches played in Europe this season, head coach Imanol Alguacil's men sit fifth in the Europa League standings. They are also unbeaten in their last 10 Europa League group/league phase matches.

Meanwhile, Stade Rennais will hope to protect their own unbeaten run in the Europa League, as they recorded one win and two draws till now. Franck Haise's men are yet to lose in their backyard this season across all competitions, and we can expect that only a monumental effort from Olympiacos could get them past the French side.
