Nottingham Forest CEO Lina Souloukou has stepped down, signaling possible structural changes for Olympiacos and Rio Ave.
Nottingham Forest, Olympiacos, and Rio Ave received a major update on Friday. There have been changes in the structure of the clubs owned by Evangelos Marinakis ahead of next season.
Former Olympiacos general director Lina Souloukou has left her role as chief executive officer at Nottingham Forest, as confirmed by the English club on Friday.
"Nottingham Forest Football Club can confirm that, following discussions with the Club, Lina Souloukou has decided to step down from her role as Chief Executive Officer at the end of the season," reads the official statement.
Despite having been CEO at Forest, Souloukou was also involved in the decision-making process at Rio Ave, the Portuguese club owned by Marinakis.
"It has been an honor to serve as the Chief Executive of Nottingham Forest. I have enjoyed my time here enormously and feel that we have made incredible progress under the ownership of Evangelos Marinakis," Souloukou said after leaving that position.
This could hint at structural changes within the entire Marinakis Football Group, given that Souloukou had influence over how the three clubs were coordinated.
Olympiacos has served as a bridge for Nottingham Forest, and in recent years, there have been exchanges via loans and transfers among the three Marinakis-owned clubs.

Meanwhile, returning to Olympiacos, the club continues its efforts to reinforce its squad ahead of next season. Thrylos will participate in UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds, so it is crucial for head coach Jose Luis Mendilibar to add new players as soon as possible.
A few days ago, the return of Konstantinos Fortounis, 33, was confirmed after his time in Saudi Arabian soccer. He signed for two years with an option for an additional year.
There has also been talk that the club wants to add two right-backs, one or two left-backs, a center-back, and other offensive reinforcements. Several Olympiacos players have been linked to a potential exit, including Rodinei, Francisco Ortega, Santiago Hezze, and Christos Mouzakitis, among others.
The Red and Whites are expected to begin their preseason in early July to prepare for the third qualifying round of the Champions League, which is scheduled for the first week of August.
Other clubs in this qualifying round include Ligue 1's Lyon, Eredivisie's NEC Nijmegen, Jupiler Pro League's Union Saint-Gilloise, Chance Liga's Sparta Prague, and Eliteserien's Bodo/Glimt.
