Hull City have secured Golden Boy Web winner Christos Mouzakitis from Olympiacos for €15 million, bolstering their Premier League survival bid with one of Europe’s most elite teenage midfield sensations.

Newly promoted Premier League outfit Hull City have made yet another signing from Olympiacos this summer following the transfer of goalkeeper Konstantinos Tzolakis on a €20 million deal. The Tigers from Kingston upon Hull announced the signing of Golden Boy Web 2025 winner Christos Mouzakitis through their X account.

Hull City negotiated a transfer fee of €15 million with Olympiacos for the sale of their most prized asset in recent years. However, according to Nikos Kotsis via Hull City News, the Red and Whites hold 50% resale rights over the player's future price. This proved to be the game-changer for Olympiacos to accept the proposal from the English top-flight side, who are looking forward to staying afloat in the Premier League during this season.

The news surrounding Mouzakitis came out of nowhere, as Olympiacos fans were shocked to hear of an agreement between the two clubs for his sale. The 19-year-old is considered one of the best teenage sensations in the world right now, especially after he won the UEFA Youth League with the Greek giants' U19 side.

As for the Olympiacos midfield now, head coach Jose Luis Mendilibar should integrate new signing Gustavo Puerta from Racing de Santander into regular first-team duties. His place in the squad becomes ever more important following the departure of Mouzakitis, who featured in 36 matches across the Super League Greece and the UEFA Champions League last season, scoring and assisting once each.

Thrylos will own Puerta outright, as they paid his €16 million release clause plus solidarity pay, agent fees, and other transactional charges, amounting to a total of €20 million. Therefore, the Colombian international's transfer shattered previous records and became the most expensive signing in Greek club football history. Initially, there were reports that club president Evangelos Marinakis could finance his arrival at Olympiacos by owning him through Nottingham Forest and then loaning him. However, this situation did not happen, as he will remain an official Olympiacos player.

Meanwhile, Mouzakitis will reunite with Tzolakis at Hull City. It is a great opportunity for the Greek teenager to showcase his skills in the Premier League with a recently promoted side. The club's head coach Sergej Jakirović has brought both of them with real intent and the former Olympiacos goalie has already put in some stellar performances with them, especially the two straight clean sheets in the Premier League against Manchester United and Coventry City.
