Wolves have submitted a €15M offer for Olympiacos winger Andre Luiz, who is also wanted by Brentford, Sunderland and Benfica. The Brazilian's valuation exceeds the bid.
Wolverhampton Wanderers has submitted a €15 million offer for an Olympiacos player who has also been linked to Premier League sides Sunderland and Brentford, according to reports.
According to Greek outlet Athletiko, the newly relegated English Championship club Wolves has offered €15 million to Olympiacos for Brazilian winger Andre Luiz.
This is a fairly competitive offer, but there are still some complications for the Molineux side, starting with the competition. According to information from Thrylos 7 International, numerous clubs "are interested" in Luiz, including Brentford, Sunderland, and Benfica.
In addition, the cited outlet, which specializes in information about Olympiacos, reports that the Greek club's valuation of its player exceeds the offer from Wolves.
"The transfer hype around Andre Luiz continues to grow. Athletiko referenced reports regarding an incoming €15 million offer from recently relegated Wolves. The club's valuation is well beyond this."
Luiz arrived at the Piraeus club from Portuguese side Rio Ave for €6,5 million at the end of January 2026. The move took place under the usual transfer arrangements between the two clubs, both of which are owned by Evangelos Marinakis, who also owns Nottingham Forest.
Despite not scoring or assisting in 10 appearances during the 2025-26 season, the Brazilian convinced the Thrylos fans with his offensive qualities: speed, dribbling, agility, and the ability to create dangerous chances.
It is no surprise that the scouting departments of clubs at the level of Wolves, Brentford, and Sunderland are well aware of Luiz's situation, as he does not seem to be in the plans of Olympiacos head coach Jose Luis Mendilibar.
Before being transferred to Olympiacos, Luiz was having a great season at Rio Ave, where he scored 7 goals and provided 5 assists in 20 matches. The Brazilian emerged from America-RJ's academy but also spent time at Flamengo's youth setup before debuting with the first team in 2023. In that same year, he was loaned to Portuguese side Estrela Amadora before being bought permanently the following year.
The winger, born in 2002, has a contract with the Red and Whites that extends until June 30, 2030. Despite his market value of €6 million on Transfermarkt, it seems that Wolves, Brentford, Sunderland, Benfica, and any other interested club will have to offer much more than that for the Piraeus club to let him go.
With all that explained, it is complicated to imagine Luiz signing for a Championship team. Of course, it is a more competitive league than the Greek one, but on one hand, you are at a club that competes in UEFA competitions, and on the other, you also have the option of going to the Premier League with interest from Brentford and Sunderland.
