Witnessing history, Bam Adebayo shattered records with an epic scoring night, leaving A'ja Wilson in awe and inspiring a personal challenge.

Miami Heat fans at Kaseya Center witnessed one of the most unbelievable performances in NBA history on Tuesday night, and A’ja Wilson had a front-row seat to it.

Bam Adebayo delivered the game of his life, scoring 83 points in Miami’s 150–129 win over the Washington Wizards. The performance stands as the second-highest scoring game in NBA history, surpassing Kobe Bryant’s famous 81-point night from 2006.

Even those closest to Adebayo didn’t see it coming — including Wilson.

The Las Vegas Aces superstar, who has been dating the Heat center since 2024, was in attendance and could hardly contain her excitement as the points kept piling up. Cameras caught the couple sharing a long embrace on the court after the game, a moment that quickly went viral among fans.

Wilson later added a playful reaction on social media after realizing Adebayo had passed her own career-high scoring mark.

“Welp won’t have the highest career high in the house anymore,” she wrote. “But at least it gives me something to go after.”

Adebayo’s historic night came on 20-of-43 shooting from the field while converting 36 of his 43 free throws. He also added nine rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks in a dominant all-around performance.

The outburst more than doubled his previous career-high of 41 points, making the achievement even more shocking.

After the game, Adebayo credited Wilson as one of the biggest sources of motivation in his life.

“She was complaining about how I got my 10,000th point and how she wanted me to wait,” Adebayo said with a smile. “So to have 83 in the first game she’s here is very special. The behind-the-scenes, the workouts, the conversations — they’re very motivating. You see what she does and you get inspired every day.”

Wilson herself is one of the most dominant players in women’s basketball, leading the Aces to multiple WNBA titles and establishing herself as one of the league’s biggest stars. Their relationship has quickly become one of basketball’s most recognizable power couples, with Wilson often attending Heat games and Adebayo supporting her WNBA career.

On this night, however, the spotlight firmly belonged to Adebayo.

Miami’s sixth straight win pushed the team to 37–29 on the season, but the bigger story was the historic scoring display. Few expected Adebayo to challenge one of the NBA’s most famous records when the game began.

By the end of the night, he had done exactly that — with Wilson celebrating every moment from the stands.
