Aliyah Boston scored a career-high 34 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, Caitlin Clark added 32 points and 10 assists, and the Indiana Fever beat the Chicago Sky 114-106 in overtime on Thursday night.
Boston and Clark made history as the first WNBA teammates to each record a 30-point double-double in a single game. Meanwhile, Indiana scored 114 points, setting a new franchise record that surpassed the previous high of 110.
Clark made all 15 of her free throws, becoming the fourth player in WNBA history to go a perfect 15 or more from the line in a game. Her 10 assists gave her a third career game with 30 points and 10 assists, the most in league history. Boston had her 44th career double-double, and her six rebounds in overtime set a franchise record for a single extra period.
Indiana led by 19 early, but Chicago narrowed the gap to 46-40 at halftime. The Sky took the first lead in the third quarter and extended it to 79-73 going into the fourth. During this stretch, Clark and coach Stephanie White each received a technical foul.
Indiana took the lead again late, with a 96-93 score in the final seconds before Clark made two free throws to extend the margin to five. The Fever’s inbounds pass was turned over with 5.1 seconds remaining. Skylar Diggins then hit a deep three-pointer to tie the game at 98 and send it into overtime.
Boston scored on a free throw to lead Indiana 106-101 in overtime. Kelsey Mitchell then made a fast-break layup, extending the lead to seven. Sydney Taylor brought Chicago within 109-106 with 24.1 seconds remaining, but Boston secured the win at the free throw line. The Sky shot 1 for 8 from the field during overtime.
Mitchell finished with 19 points, and Lexie Hull added 11 points and eight rebounds for Indiana, which made its first 23 free throws before missing one with 46 seconds left. Myisha Hines-Allen led the bench at plus-25.
Taylor scored 30 off the bench for Chicago (4-9), making nine of her first 10 shots, including three 3s, through three quarters. Diggins added 21. Jacy Sheldon, Azurá Stevens, and Kamilla Cardoso each scored 10, with Cardoso fouling out with 3:40 left.
A crowd of 15,578 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse saw nine lead changes and eight ties. Chicago hosts New York on Wednesday. Indiana travels to Connecticut on Saturday.
