Allisha Gray scored 16 of her 24 points in the second half and Angel Reese finished with 11 points and 14 rebounds in her Atlanta debut as the Dream rallied past the Minnesota Lynx 91-90 on Saturday night at Target Center.
Naz Hillmon and Rhyne Howard each added 15 points. Jordin Canada finished with 12 points and 6 assists.
The Dream did not lead until 12 seconds remained. Canada drove for a layup before Te-Hina Paopao hit a pull-up jumper to give Atlanta a 91-90 advantage. Gray and Reese each blocked a shot in the closing seconds to seal the win.
Atlanta erased a 19-point deficit to take its first lead of the game.
The Dream shot 42.5% from the field, 7-of-29 from 3-point range, and 22-of-30 from the free-throw line.
Gray shot 7-of-18 from the field, 1-of-8 from 3-point range, and 9-of-11 from the free-throw line in 32 minutes. She added 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block.
Reese's 11 points and 14 rebounds came in her first game with the Dream after Atlanta acquired her from the Chicago Sky on April 6 in exchange for first-round picks in 2027 and 2028.
It was Reese's 50th career double-double in 65 games — the fastest pace to 50 double-doubles in WNBA history.
Reese shot 4-of-11 from the field and 3-of-6 from the free-throw line. She also added 3 blocks and 5 turnovers in just over 32 minutes.
The Lynx led by as many as 19 in the first half and went into the break ahead 52-37. Minnesota carried a 71-63 lead into the fourth quarter before Atlanta outscored the Lynx 28-19 in the final period.
The Dream used an 18-4 run to cut their deficit to 58-57 with 2:51 left in the third quarter after Minnesota missed 9 consecutive field-goal attempts. Emma Cechova answered with a layup and Olivia Miles followed with a 3-pointer to push the Lynx lead back out.
Miles produced an impressive all-around performance in her official WNBA debut. The No. 2 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft scored 21 points to go with 3 rebounds and 8 assists. She shot 6-of-14 from the field, 1-of-2 from 3-point range, and 8-of-8 from the free-throw line. She also added 2 steals and 2 blocks.
Kayla McBride scored 20 points on 7-of-13 shooting, including 2-of-6 from 3-point range. Courtney Williams added 14 points, 6 rebounds, 6 assists, and 3 steals. Cechova, the 6-foot-4 rookie, finished perfectly on all five shot attempts from the field for 12 points off the bench.
Five-time All-Star Napheesa Collier did not play. Collier had surgery on both ankles this offseason and is expected to resume on-court activity in early June. The Lynx also played without Dorka Juhasz (right foot).
Atlanta played without Brionna Jones (right knee).
Minnesota shot 50% from the field but went 5-of-18 from 3-point range.
Atlanta visits the Dallas Wings on Tuesday. Minnesota travels to face the Phoenix Mercury on Tuesday.
