When the Atlanta Dream and Dallas Wings face off on Tuesday night, two close friends will be going against each other.

Dream forward Angel Reese and Wings guard Paige Bueckers are close friends, which means we could see some friendly banter between the two stars on the court.

"We're obviously friends off the court, but between the court, we're not friends," Reese said on Tuesday, via Dallas Hoops Journal. "So we'll talk a little trash tonight, but I'm just excited to see her journey through adversity and everything she continues to thrive through. She continues to take Dallas and put Dallas on the map. So I'm excited for her."

Not only are Reese and Bueckers two of the best players in the WNBA, but they are also role models for young girls all around the world.

It's a title Reese doesn't take for granted.

"Obviously, we're two marketable players as well on and off the court," Reese said. "We do a lot of great things. A lot of young girls look up to both of us. Our journeys obviously have been different, but people can rely and relate to both of us. So it's really cool to see us continuing to be pioneers in this league. So many young women come out to the games and they're really excited to see us. Hopefully, we can make their day. No matter how the game goes, we're going out there to compete and hopefully, they know that their dreams can come true like us."

Reese and Bueckers were at the Met Gala last week in New York.

Reese, who was traded by the Chicago Sky to the Dream in the offseason, is a Met Gala veteran, so she helped Bueckers.

"A lot of people didn't know she was going to the Met," Reese said. "I knew she was going with Coach and just being able to see her step into another world of fashion. When we sat down and talked, she said she used to just wake up and put anything on and now she's thinking about it a little bit more.

"But yeah, that's my girl. I'm just really happy to see her step into different things. A'ja [Wilson] was there as well. To normalize women's basketball players in these spaces and athletes in general is really cool. I'm really happy and excited for her."
