Caitlin Clark and A'ja Wilson were named WNBA Players of the Week for games played July 28 through Aug. 2.
The WNBA named Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Las Vegas Aces center A'ja Wilson its Eastern and Western Conference Players of the Week on Tuesday for games played July 28 through Aug. 2. Each won the award for the third time this season.
Clark scored 77 points across three games, the third-most in the league over the span. Her 27 assists led everyone. She averaged 25.7 points and 9.0 assists per game.
Against Seattle on July 28, Clark finished with a team-high 32 points and seven assists. It was the ninth 30-point game of her career, one shy of the 10 Tamika Catchings recorded for the second-most in franchise history.
Three days later against Portland, Clark posted 26 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists for the fourth triple-double of her career. Against Minnesota to close the week, she recorded 19 points and 10 assists. That was her 27th career double-double and the 25th of the points-and-assists variety, three behind Sue Bird for the third-most in league history.
The award is Clark's sixth as a professional. Catchings, with 22, is the only other Fever player to reach six. Kelsey Mitchell took the Eastern Conference award in Week 8, and Clark has now won it twice in a row, giving Indiana the honor three consecutive weeks and every week it was awarded in July.
Wilson averaged a league-leading 32.3 points, 12.0 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 1.3 blocks. She shot 52.5% from the field and 37.5% from 3-point range and recorded a double-double in all three games.
In a 98-83 win over Portland on July 28, Wilson had a game-high 28 points, 14 rebounds, four assists, and two steals. She went 7-of-10 from the floor and 13-of-14 from the line, her second-highest free throw attempt total this season.
Two days later, Wilson scored a game-high 33 points on 11-of-22 shooting and added 10 rebounds, six assists, and two blocks in a 104-99 win over New York. She was 10-of-11 at the line.
Wilson closed the week with 36 points in an 84-83 loss at Chicago on Aug. 1. She passed Sylvia Fowles for 13th on the WNBA's all-time scoring list and finished the night with 6,442 career points. The performance was her 32nd 30-point double-double, the most in league history, and her sixth this season. It was also her 10th game of 30 or more points in 2026, a league high.
It is Wilson's 31st Western Conference Player of the Week award, the most in conference history. Tina Charles won 33 across her career, the most of any player. Wilson previously took the honor on May 17 and June 16.
Las Vegas is 21-9 and second in the league standings. The Aces play at Indiana on Thursday.
