Fever fans rejoice! Caitlin Clark's stunning 22-of-25 three-point barrage in a recent workout signals her electrifying return is imminent.

It has been more than seven months since Indiana Fever fans last watched Caitlin Clark play in a meaningful game. On Monday, they finally got a reminder of what they’ve been missing.

The Fever shared a workout clip of Clark knocking down 22 of 25 three-point attempts following a recent training session, a simple stat line that immediately reignited anticipation around her return.

The caption said it plainly: “22 getting buckets. Caitlin Clark went 22-for-25 from beyond the arc after her workout today.”

Clark hasn’t appeared in a game since July 15, when she tweaked her groin late in a matchup against the Connecticut Sun at TD Garden. What initially looked like a short-term setback turned into a prolonged absence.

However, she missed the All-Star Game at Gainbridge Fieldhouse that same week and ultimately did not return for the remainder of the 2025 season. A sprained ankle during rehab only complicated the timeline, and the Fever opted for caution with the league’s biggest draw.

Before the injuries, Clark’s sophomore campaign had already delivered flashes of why expectations were so high. She opened the season with a triple-double against the Chicago Sky — 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists — and later erupted for 32 points with seven made threes in a win over the New York Liberty.

Even in limited action, she averaged 19.2 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 5.4 assists while shooting 47.7% from the field and 88.8% from the line.

Indiana still managed a deep playoff run, pushing the eventual champion Las Vegas Aces to five games in the semifinals. But the lingering question throughout that series was unavoidable: how far could the Fever have gone with Clark fully healthy?

Now, her return is near as Clark has been spotted at Milan Fashion Week. Clark participated in USA Basketball training camp in December and is on the roster for the upcoming FIBA Women’s World Cup Qualifier Tournament in San Juan, Puerto Rico, scheduled for March 11–17. If she suits up on March 11, it will mark 239 days since her groin injury.

Her name has also surfaced in conversations surrounding the WNBA’s ongoing CBA negotiations. On Yahoo Sports Daily, reporter Annie Costabile described Clark as “very calculated” in how she approaches public commentary.

While some union leaders have taken visible roles in the negotiations, Clark’s media availability has been limited during her recovery. With the USA Basketball camp ahead, she is expected to address questions about the labor talks, though she has historically deferred to union leadership on such matters.

For now, the focus shifts back to the court. The Fever are scheduled to open the 2026 season on May 9 at home against the Dallas Wings in what would be a headline matchup against Paige Bueckers. After months of rehab and uncertainty, the latest workout clip suggests Clark’s trademark range hasn’t faded.

For a fan base that has been counting the days, 22-of-25 is more than just a practice stat. It’s a signal that her return is finally within reach.
