Caitlin Clark needed less than 24 minutes for 21 points, 7 rebounds, and 10 assists, and the Indiana Fever beat the Seattle Storm 89-78 on Sunday at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. It was the 11th 20-point, 10-assist game of Clark's career, a WNBA record.

Kelsey Mitchell scored 17 points. Sophie Cunningham added 17 off the bench, made 5 of her 9 shots, and did not miss any of her 6 free throws.

Clark did not miss a free throw, going 9 of 9, and made 5 of her 10 shots from the field. Two of her baskets were three-pointers. She also blocked 2 shots.

Indiana shot 46.3% from the field. The Fever did not miss a free throw all game and finished 22 of 22. The win was their first at home this season after two home losses, and it moved them to 2-2.

The Storm got 19 points from Natisha Hiedeman, who hit 3 of her 6 three-pointers. Flau'jae Johnson scored 14, though she made just 3 of 14 shots from the field. Eight of those points came at the foul line. Zia Cooke added 13 off the bench. Jade Melbourne had 12.

Seattle shot 35.2% from the field, and only 6 of its 23 three-point attempts went down. The Storm are 1-3.

A 15-0 run in the first quarter put Indiana in control. The Fever pushed the lead to 17 and were up 32-19 after one quarter. Seattle trimmed the gap to nine in the second quarter. Still, Indiana led 55-44 at halftime.

Seattle held Clark to two points in the third quarter and lost the period anyway, 22-14. Indiana led 77-58 after three. The lead reached 20 in the fourth before the Storm shaved the final margin to 11.

Indiana scored 50 of its points in the paint, 20 more than Seattle. The Fever turned the ball over 20 times, 5 of them by Clark, and Seattle scored 22 points off those giveaways. None of it was enough.

Myisha Hines-Allen made all three of her shots and finished with 8 points and 6 rebounds. Makayla Timpson added 6 points and 6 rebounds off the bench.

Indiana was missing All-Star Aliyah Boston, who has a lower-leg injury. For Boston, it was a first. She had never missed a game in her four WNBA seasons, and her streak of 275 straight games reached back through four years at South Carolina. The Fever list her as day to day.

Seattle was shorthanded, too. Ezi Magbegor (right foot), Dominique Malonga (concussion protocol), and Katie Lou Samuelson (right knee) were all sidelined.
