
Chennedy Carter is back in the WNBA after playing overseas in 2025.
After not being in the WNBA in 2025, Chennedy Carter is back, signing a training camp contract with the Las Vegas Aces.
Carter told Aces reporters that signing with Las Vegas "was the best decision I've ever made in my life."
Carter played for the Chicago Sky in 2024, averaging 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. She was the fourth overall pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft by the Atlanta Dream.
A dynamic scorer, Carter played her first two years for the Dream and averaged 16.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.
Carter spent 2022 playing for the Los Angeles Sparks. She averaged 8.9 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.
Carter didn't play in the WNBA in 2023. She holds career averages of 14.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game in 84 contests.
Carter is a three-time medalist with USA Basketball, winning gold at the 2016 FIBA U18 AmeriCup and silver medals at the 2017 FIBA U19 World Cup and 2019 Pan American Games. She has extensive international experience playing in China, Israel, Mexico, Poland and Turkey.
A two-time All-American and 2018 USBWA National Freshman of the Year, Carter played three years at Texas A&M (2017-2020) before joining the WNBA.
The Aces won the championship last season. They also won it all in 2023 and 2022.
