For the second straight year, the Golden State Valkyries top Sportico's annual WNBA franchise valuations.

The Golden State Valkyries have topped Sportico's annual WNBA franchise valuations for the second straight year.

Sportico has Golden State at a $850 million valuation.

Rounding out the top five are the New York Liberty ($600 million), Indiana Fever ($560 million), Seattle Storm ($425 million) and Phoenix Mercury ($420 million).

The 13 WNBA teams that played in 2025 are worth a total of $5.55 billion. The Atlanta Dream are last at $280 million.

Golden State went 23-21 last season. The team lost to the Minnesota Lynx in the first round of the playoffs in two games. The Valkyries posted a WNBA-record $78 million in revenue in their inaugural season.

Golden State cut off 2026 season-ticket sales at more than 12,000. In 2025, the Valkyries were valued at $500 million, a tenfold increase on their then-record $50 million purchase price in 2023.

"History isn't just made on the hardwood; it's forged in the stands by those who support this team," Valkyries President Jess Smith said on April 23. "Our season ticket holders are the heartbeat of this franchise and set a record in year one and then came back and pushed past it. That says everything about this fan base and what this team means to this community. The waitlist is proof that this is just the beginning."

The Valkyries are coached by Natalie Nakase. Golden State will play its season opener in Seattle against the Storm on May 8.
