
Chennedy Carter is back in the WNBA.
The Las Vegas Aces announced today that the team has signed Chennedy Carter to a training camp contract.
Carter returns to the WNBA after playing overseas last season. She played for the Chicago Sky in 2024, averaging 17.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.
Carter was the fourth overall pick in the 2020 WNBA Draft by the Atlanta Dream. She played her first two years for the Dream and averaged 16.1 points, 1.9 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game.
Carter spent 2022 playing for the Los Angeles Sparks. She averaged 8.9 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists per game.
Carter didn't play in the WNBA in 2023. She holds career averages of 14.6 points, 2.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game in 84 contests.
Carter is a three-time medalist with USA Basketball, winning gold at the 2016 FIBA U18 AmeriCup and silver medals at the 2017 FIBA U19 World Cup and 2019 Pan American Games. She has extensive international experience playing in China, Israel, Mexico, Poland and Turkey.
A two-time All-American and 2018 USBWA National Freshman of the Year, Carter played three years at Texas A&M (2017-2020) before joining the WNBA.
The Aces won the championship last season. They also won it all in 2023 and 2022.
