TNT Sports ignites basketball's global stage. Catch the FIBA Women's World Cup 2026 and more, featuring WNBA stars, live on your favorite networks.

TNT Sports is set to expand its basketball portfolio after securing a multiyear media rights agreement with FIBA to broadcast several major international tournaments in the United States.

The deal grants TNT Sports exclusive U.S. English-language rights to the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026, the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027, and FIBA EuroBasket 2029. Coverage will air across TNT Sports’ television networks, including TNT, TBS, and truTV, while additional games and content will be available on the HBO Max streaming platform.

The partnership begins immediately with coverage of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 qualifying tournament, which runs from March 11 to March 17 in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

The United States women’s national team will open the tournament against Senegal, with the first four U.S. games scheduled to air on truTV and the final matchup against Spain set for TNT.

The tournament is expected to generate significant interest in the United States, particularly because several high-profile WNBA stars could make their senior national team debuts. Players such as Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers, and Angel Reese headline the roster, alongside established veterans including Kelsey Plum and Chelsea Gray.

The agreement represents a notable step for TNT Sports as it continues to reshape its basketball coverage following the end of its long-standing NBA broadcasting partnership last year.

Since losing NBA rights, TNT has focused on expanding its basketball presence through college basketball broadcasts, the NCAA Men’s Tournament alongside CBS, and the emerging women’s 3-on-3 league Unrivaled.

FIBA officials believe the partnership will significantly raise the visibility of international basketball in the U.S. market. The network will also use its extensive digital ecosystem, including Bleacher Report, House of Highlights, and B/R W, to provide additional coverage and content around the tournaments.

The deal also arrives during a period of corporate transition. TNT Sports’ parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery, recently agreed to a major acquisition by Paramount.

If the transaction is finalized, TNT Sports’ coverage of these tournaments could eventually become integrated with Paramount’s broader sports portfolio, including CBS Sports.

Beyond the upcoming women’s tournament in Germany later this year, the agreement ensures that TNT Sports will play a key role in broadcasting international basketball competitions in the United States through at least 2029.
