"Unsportsmanlike Conduct: Controversy Surrounding Curran's Umpire Incident"

"Wow, this situation seems even worse than it was described. Frankly, the umpire should have stood firm. The consequences for actually striking an umpire would have been quite significant.

It's incredibly immature behavior, especially followed by swearing at the umpire. The commentators are being too lenient in this clip. Even if Curran couldn't hear the umpire, there's no excuse for continuing his run-up when the umpire was clearly in his way. If there was any confusion about gestures, he could have tried approaching from a different angle or walked up to the umpire for clarification. Curran definitely heard him and disregarded it, then swore at him right afterward. A suspension of four games doesn't seem sufficient."
