Mustafizur Rahman, a talented medium left-hand bowler from Bangladesh, rose to fame after his remarkable performance in his debut ODI series against India. He took down many famous Indian batsmen with his cutters and slowers, enabling Bangladesh to win their first ODI series against India. In that three-match ODI series, he set a record by picking up 12+ wickets, making him the talk of the cricket world.

He was quickly recognized and invited to join the Indian Premier League (IPL) in the same year. Sunrisers Hyderabad added him to their team, and he proved his worth by becoming the only foreign player to win the Best Emerging Player award in the IPL. He contributed significantly to Sunrisers Hyderabad's first IPL title win.

Unfortunately, an injury hampered his progress, and he returned to the field after three months of struggling with injuries. However, his performance and bowling action changed, and he lost the power and influence he once had. As a result, his career began to decline, and he was dropped from the Bangladesh team due to poor performance. His IPL career also took a hit, and he currently plays for the Delhi Capitals. Although he was given a chance to play in the last two matches, he failed to make use of the opportunity and deliver a average performance.
Given his recent poor form, the question remains whether this is the last season of Mustafizur Rahman's IPL career.
