Version 4.0.6 Follow & Admin Settings

Version 4.0.6 has been released!

This version brings a couple of highly anticipated features for BBS Network:

The long-awaited Follow feature is finally here! Follow members to receive notifications whenever they publish a comment or post, or receive only the notifications you want within your settings.

The Follow button can be found by viewing a member’s profile:

Change your notification settings for follows to receive notifications for only what you’d like to see.

4.0.6 also brings us Admin Settings, which expands on the current moderation mechanic allowing owners and admins to set up individual admin permissions per member. 

Admin settings for members can be found by viewing their profile on the board. Only members with the ‘Approve admin’ permission can view member’s admin settings.

Each setting can be toggled on or off individually for each member. Admins and Moderators can only change other’s permissions if marked “Approved admin” and only permissions they already have. (i.e. an Admin without “Edit BBS” permission cannot give another member the permission)

Any member that was a moderator for a board prior to 4.0.6 will have all permissions available (as they did previously).
