We are seeing some discussion across the BBS boards in relation to tagging.

Some of us love to do it, and others, like myself, would rather post original content and let the market decide what the value is.

For me, the SEO/ORGANIC approach is more in line with my natural free market posting philosophy.

Let the market decide is my approach.

GOOGLE earch engine is probably a good example. 10 years ago SEO was about 'tagging' key words and stuffing them everywhere.

GOOGLE soon learned that contrived SEO that manipulated searches did not make the best content available.

Having done a fair bit of SEO myself, the transformation GOOGLE made was to reward quality content. The result was that the old content that was not adding value to the audience was filtered out.

But that is just my opinion.
