As we all know yesterday BBS put out preview of how the new post promotions will work. However they decided to drop it early. I also noticed a few other changes made to the platform as well. There is still no new pinned post about the release but Eyal confirmed. 

So now you can be the first to promote you own post from within the post before you even post it. And you are predicting how many views a post will get. And publishers of the post will get reputation from the post whether they own it or not.

You predict how many views a post will get and stake your reputation. As the promoter you get paid 1 reputation point for each view the post gets. The publisher get reputation whether they own the post or not. Once you set the amount of views a post will get, it will let you know how much reputation you need to stake. 

Reputation is now rounded up into whole numbers to reflect points instead of money. 

For the first time on BBS the stakeholders section in the communities have finally been fixed to reflect the right amount of members a community has. Before the stakeholders section was always higher because the people who left the community or were banned from the community still held money in the community so they were still counted as members.
