From Oscar Piastri’s 350,000-bead masterpiece to Lewis Hamilton’s gold finish, drivers celebrated Peranakan culture and vibrant street-circuit style in Singapore.
Helmets
Oscar Piastri partnered with Carolyn Law, a local Singaporean artist, and Angeline King, a master beader, to create his weekend helmet, inspired by Peranakan beadwork. The concept helmet was handcrafted over two months, with 350,000 glass beads applied on a 12-hour-a-day schedule. The track-ready replica translated the design to a turquoise canvas. The design had an incredible red and orange phoenix to represent virtue and prosperity, and traditional pink peonies along the helmet.
Lando Norris switched up his usual design to depict a gold and green dragon in a design also inspired by Peranakan beadwork. The design also featured pink lotus flowers and green foliage on a yellow background, plus his typical black blobs. Like his teammate, Norris also worked with local artists to bring the design to life.
Charles Leclerc went all black, from his helmet to his race suit. He switched out his usual red for black with accents of turquoise, cyan, and bright pink decorating the "16" on the sides of his helmet, as well as the back. He also included a drawing of the Singapore skyline across the back of the helmet to celebrate the iconic race.
Lewis Hamilton went all out for the race under the stars with an all gold helmet. The helmet had a chrome finish that allowed it to act as a mirror for the floodlights overhead. It was hard to miss him coming around the track this weekend!

He drew inspiration from the durian fruit, mimicking its spiky green-and-yellow outer layer, also known in Singapore as “the king of fruits.” Albon also released a special character for fans to collect on his app, AA23.
Ollie Bearman had a sentimental touch to his helmet in Singapore. The helmet was a tribute to a lucky sixpence that his great-grandmother gave to him, that he kept while he came up through the ranks. The helmet was all silver, with the design of a sixpence shown on top. Bearman worked with F1 creator Tommo on this extra special helmet.
Liveries
Audi debuted a special livery at Singapore to celebrate the team’s first night race in F1! They combined their usual design with a traditional peranakan pattern that stretches from the side pods to the rear wing. The design was inspired by the city’s transition from day light to night time and the design carried over to Nico Hulkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto’s race suits. The livery was launched with a limited edition Adidas capsule, building on The Art of Influence, which is a program that brings F1 closer to fans.

This time they incorporated the Vanda Miss Joaquim, Singapore’s national flower, across the design. Russell and Antonelli also had beautiful helmet designs that complemented the race suits.
