Ferrari holds the record for most Grand Prix wins, but who makes up those numbers?

At the 2026 British Grand Prix, Ferrari hit another milestone of 250 Grand Prix wins after Charles Leclerc took the top step. Ferrari leads the charge of most constructor wins by a significant margin, with McLaren in second with 203 wins and Mercedes following with 138 wins.

The Drivers

40 drivers have won races with the historic team, with Lewis Hamilton being added to the list after his win at the Barcelona Grand Prix. Nine other drivers have won one race with the Scuderia: Piero Taruffi, Giuseppe Farina, Maurice Trintignant, Luigi Musso, Giancarlo Baghetti, Lorenzo Bandini, Ludovico Scarfiotti, Mario Andretti, and Jean Alesi.

There are five drivers that have won two races with the team and eight that have won three. Most notably, Nigel Mansell, World Drivers Champion in 1992 with Williams, won three races during his two year period with Ferrari. Four drivers have won four races each with the team, including Carlos Sainz, who held the most recent win with Ferrari until Hamilton’s win in Barcelona.

Three drivers have won five races, one of whom is four-time World Champion Alain Prost, who spent two years with the team. Jacky Icyx and Gilles Villeneuve both won six races with Ferrari, the latter finishing as runner-up in the 1979 World Championship.

Rubens Barrichello and Charles Leclerc both have nine wins, with hopefully more to come for Leclerc. Kimi Raikkonen has ten wins with the team and also won the 2007 World Driver’s Championship with Ferrari. Felipe Massa and Fernando Alonso have eleven wins and have both finished as runner ups in the championship at least once with the team.

Alberto Ascari won 13 races in six years and two championships with Ferrari in 1952 and 1953. Ascari is the third-ever F1 Champion and is Ferrari’s first champion. Sebastian Vettel won 14 races with Ferrari from 2015 to 2020 and was runner-up in 2017 and 2018, behind only Lewis Hamilton in the Mercedes in their era of dominance. Niki Lauda won 15 races and two of his three championships with Ferrari during his time with the team (1974-1977).

The driver with the most race wins for the iconic team is none other than one of the most iconic drivers in F1, Michael Schumacher. Schumacher won 72 races with the team, almost five times as many as Lauda, who finished second. Schumacher was with the team from 1996 to 2006 and won five of his seven championships with the team. Schumacher and Ferrari’s dominance from 2000 to 2004 was like no other.
