If Kim Kardashian shows up alongside Lewis Hamilton in Miami, Formula 1 could experience a surge in popularity similar to Taylor Swift’s impact on the NFL.

Kim Kardashian is a perfect fit for the Miami Grand Prix. The 45-year-old mega-influencer and founder of Skims, with an impressive 353 million Instagram followers, could spark a “Taylor Swift effect” in F1, just as the sport makes its debut in the United States in 2026.

The fourth race of the season will take place in South Florida on Sunday, May 3, and there are already plenty of reasons for the media to set their sights on the paddock. Plus, the budding “romance” between Kim and seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton appears to be genuine, heightening anticipation of seeing the star in the Ferrari garage.

Earlier this week, Hamilton, 41, hinted at his interest by reacting with a heart emoji to an Instagram post in which Kim was wearing an elegant gold Gucci dress. This came after several reported encounters and intense global media speculation.

The Incredible Power of the 'Hamildashian'

The magnitude of this relationship exceeds all expectations regarding celebrity interest: it brings together one of the world’s most recognizable women, the most famous F1 driver, and the world’s leading automotive brand. Plus, there are other winners at stake.

Hamilton recently starred in an Oscar-winning film alongside Apple, which has just signed a five-year contract worth $750 million to broadcast F1 races in the United States. What better way to kick off the season with a bang?

The Taylor Swift Effect: A Powerhouse in the NFL

The comparison to Taylor Swift is inevitable. Her romance with Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end, has generated an estimated brand value of $1 billion since they went public with their relationship in 2023, even increasing the Chiefs’ fan base by 30%.

It’s not hard to imagine similar growth for F1 if Kim becomes a regular presence at races—something that, according to Michael McCarthy, a renowned reporter for Front Office Sports, is already on the table.

McCarthy told GPFans: “Kim could achieve what Taylor Swift did for the NFL: attract new fans and take the sport to the next level.”
