Stewart Cink chases win No. 5 as Fred Couples, Ernie Els and a loaded PGA TOUR Champions field take on Snoqualmie Ridge at the Boeing Classic.
The Boeing Classic brings PGA TOUR Champions back to the Pacific Northwest this week, and Stewart Cink arrives at The Club at Snoqualmie Ridge with a chance to keep turning 2026 into his personal victory tour.
Cink already owns four wins this season and leads the Charles Schwab Cup standings after capturing the season-long title a year ago.
Fresh off a runner-up finish at the Portugal Invitational, he’ll now chase victory No. 5 against a 78-player field loaded with major champions, Hall of Famers and players carrying some compelling storylines.
And this isn’t exactly a ceremonial gathering of golf legends.
The 54-hole Boeing Classic, played on the par-72, 7,217-yard Snoqualmie Ridge layout, offers a $2.3 million purse with $345,000 going to the champion.
Fred Couples should generate one of the week's biggest galleries. The Seattle native returns home as one of three World Golf Hall of Fame members in the field, joining Ernie Els and Vijay Singh.
Couples isn't the only player with strong Washington ties. Kirk Triplett, a Moses Lake native, will also tee it up as the tournament celebrates its 21st edition at a course that has hosted the event every year since 2005.
Then there are the guys who already know how to win here.
Defending champion Steve Allan returns looking for consecutive Boeing Classic titles, while Stephen Ames could make more history after winning the event in both 2023 and 2024. In all, six former champions are scheduled to compete.
Jerry Kelly arrives with fresh hardware after winning the ISPS HANDA Senior Open, giving another in-form veteran a legitimate chance to challenge Cink.
Perhaps the week's most meaningful return, though, belongs to Scott McCarron.
McCarron will make his first competitive start since announcing he is cancer-free following radiation treatment for Stage Two B-Cell lymphoma.
His return adds a much bigger storyline than anything appearing on a leaderboard.
Golf Channel will provide coverage throughout the weekend, with Friday's opening round airing on tape delay from 10 p.m. to midnight ET, followed by Saturday from 6-8 p.m. ET and Sunday's finish from 5-7 p.m. ET.
Cink may enter Snoqualmie Ridge as the hottest player in the field, but between Couples coming home, former champions lurking and Kelly arriving off a major senior victory, this Boeing Classic has considerably more than nostalgia going for it.
