Trade your scorecard for a Triple Dipper at this limited-time Burbank pop-up, where iconic appetizers, custom margaritas, and exclusive apparel redefine the classic muni clubhouse experience.

There are plenty of reasons to shoot 110.

Most of them aren't particularly good.

Chili's just provided one.

For two days in Burbank, Calif., golfers can spend four hours slicing drives into neighboring zip codes with the comforting knowledge that a Triple Dipper and margarita are waiting for them at the clubhouse.

Yes, Chili's has officially entered the golf business.

The restaurant chain took over the clubhouse at DeBell Golf Club on Friday for the appropriately named Chili's Golf Club, a two-day pop-up that runs through Saturday.

It's the first time Chili's has opened an outpost on a golf course, the company said.

And you don't even have to pretend you're there to golf.

The pop-up is open to golfers and fans alike from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with visitors able to order Chili's staples such as the Triple Dipper alongside two golf-inspired cocktails — the Transfusion Marg and Tee Time Marg.

In other words, somebody finally looked at the concept of the 19th hole and decided it wasn't being taken seriously enough.

“Chili's is the people's clubhouse, so it only made sense to bring that spirit to the course by building the Chili's Golf Club on a public muni, complete with the 19th hole of every golfer's dreams,” George Felix, chief marketing officer and executive vice president of Chili's parent company Brinker International, said in a statement.

And Chili's didn't stop with the food.

The company partnered with activewear brand Rhoback for a limited-edition collection featuring a Chili's Golf Club crest, with apparel available at the DeBell pro shop during the event and online while supplies last.

Even the marketing campaign understood the assignment.

A campaign film features cameos from Wesley Bryan, Jena Sims Koepka and content creator Caleb Pressley, among others.

Chili's leaned into the recreational-golfer theme elsewhere, too. The New York Post noted that the company joked on Instagram about golfers breaking 100 for the first time.

That part seems optimistic.

But if the 97 turns into a 104 somewhere around No. 16 … there are worse consolation prizes than mozzarella sticks. Or chicken crispers. Or southwest egg rolls.

Unfortunately, golfers don't have long to test the theory.

The Chili's Golf Club disappears after Saturday.

So does golf's brief experiment with finally getting everything right.
