Si Woo Kim leads THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson by five, but Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth and a stormy Saturday could shake up everything.

THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson is headed into the weekend with a loaded leaderboard, a redesigned TPC Craig Ranch and enough weather drama to make Saturday feel like a pressure cooker.

Si Woo Kim owns the spotlight after a ridiculous 11-under 60 in Round 2, giving him a five-shot lead entering the third round.

He nearly became just the 16th player in PGA TOUR history to shoot 59, but even with a closing bogey, he still turned the tournament into a chase.

And the group chasing him is dangerous.

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler sits at 13-under, joined by Wyndham Clark, Kensei Hirata and Sungjae Im, who added fireworks Friday with the tournament’s first hole-in-one.

Just behind them, Dallas favorite Jordan Spieth surged to 12-under after a bogey-free 62 that brought serious throwback energy.

The course itself has a new attitude. TPC Craig Ranch underwent a major redesign with new bunkers, resurfaced greens, fresh turf and added length, all aimed at slowing down the birdie barrage.

So far, it hasn’t exactly stopped the scoring, but the harder closing stretch has already created chaos.

Saturday could bring more.

Because of expected bad weather, third-round tee times were moved up to 10:44-11:45 a.m. ET, with players going off in threesomes from Nos. 1 and 10.

Fans can watch Saturday and Sunday on Golf Channel from 1-3 p.m. ET and CBS from 3-6 p.m. ET, with streaming on Paramount+ and the CBS Sports App.

PGA TOUR LIVE on ESPN+ runs from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. ET, while PGA TOUR Radio airs from 1-6 p.m. ET.

Featured Saturday groups include Luke Clanton, Brooks Koepka and Stephan Jaeger at 11:39 a.m., plus Jesper Svensson, Tom Kim and Rasmus Højgaard.

Kim has the lead. Texas has the stage. Now the weekend gets nasty.
