Team USA erased a three-point Sunday deficit, crushing the Internationals 9.5-2.5 in singles to capture the Presidents Cup 17-13 at Medinah.

The 2026 Presidents Cup looked like it might finally belong to the International Team.

Instead, Sunday at Medinah Country Club turned into one of the most dramatic American comebacks in the event’s history.

Trailing 10.5-7.5 entering singles, Brandt Snedeker’s U.S. Team overwhelmed the Internationals 9.5-2.5 to win the Presidents Cup 17-13, securing an 11th consecutive victory in the biennial competition.

And the comeback came from everywhere.

Cameron Young set the tone by beating Ryo Hisatsune 3 and 2. Veterans Scottie Scheffler, Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay and Xander Schauffele delivered the kind of performances expected from the deepest roster in the competition.

Then the rookies showed up.

Chris Gotterup handled Christiaan Bezuidenhout, while Jackson Koivun rallied from 2-down against Si Woo Kim to win 2-up. Koivun took control by winning three consecutive holes from Nos. 11-13 before closing the match with a birdie at 18.

“I thought he brought everything and more,” Snedeker said of Koivun. “I put him in a big spot today, a really big spot.”

But Jacob Bridgeman delivered the moment that officially ended the International Team’s dream.

Bridgeman defeated Min Woo Lee 1-up, making par at the 18th to provide the Americans the point that clinched the Presidents Cup.

Perhaps the defining swing came from Collin Morikawa.

Trailing Hideki Matsuyama late, Morikawa buried a roughly 30-foot birdie putt at No. 15. Matsuyama then missed from close range, allowing Morikawa to square the match instead of falling 2-down. Morikawa eventually won 1-up.

“That’s match play right there in a nutshell,” Morikawa said.

The comeback also provided redemption for Snedeker. He openly questioned some of his decisions Saturday night after the Americans stumbled through the opening three days.

By Sunday evening, those questions mattered much less.

The Americans had been pushed harder than expected, but when they finally played like the superior roster on paper, the result was overwhelming.

Medinah produced another historic Sunday rally. This time, Team USA was on the right side of it.
