The LPGA Riviera Maya Open brings Chizzy Iwai, Nelly Korda, 21 rookies and nine Mexican players to El Camaleon Golf Course.
The LPGA Tour heads to Mexico this week for the Riviera Maya Open at Mayakoba, and the field has plenty of reasons to pay attention.
Played at El Camaleon Golf Course in Playa del Carmen, the tournament brings together a 125-player field that includes defending champion Chizzy Iwai, two-time 2026 winner Nelly Korda, a large rookie class and a strong group of Mexican players hoping to make noise on home soil.

Iwai returns as the lone past champion in the field, giving the event a familiar name at the top. Korda adds even more star power after already winning the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions and The Chevron Championship this season.
The rookie presence is one of the biggest storylines. Twenty-one LPGA Tour rookies are scheduled to compete, including Epson Tour graduates Briana Chacon, Anne Chen, Hailee Cooper, Laney Frye, Melanie Green, Erika Hara, Natasha Oon, Riley Smyth, Carla Tejedo Mulet and Michelle Zhang.
Other first-year players in the field include Camille Boyd, Carolina Chacarra, Youmin Hwang, Emma McMyler, Cocona Sakurai, Chiara Tamburlini and Lauren Walsh.
Mexico will also be well represented. Nine Mexican players are in the field, led by LPGA Tour winner Gaby Lopez and former Arkansas standout Maria Fassi. The group also includes Maria Balcazar, Isabella Fierro, Ana Jimenez, Alejandra Llaneza, Andrea Ostos, Clarisa Temelo and Carolina Rotzinger.
Balcazar and Rotzinger earned their spots through Monday qualifying, while sponsor invitations went to Maria Jose Marin, Temelo, Ostos, Llaneza and Jimenez.
With Korda chasing another 2026 title, Iwai defending her Mayakoba crown and local players looking for a breakthrough, the Riviera Maya Open has a little bit of everything this week.
